What is ASiC-S? (Associated Signature Container, Simple)

ASiC-S (ETSI EN 319 162) is the simple form of the Associated Signature Container: a ZIP holding exactly one data object plus one signature (CAdES or XAdES) or a timestamp covering it. It is used when you need to bind a single file to its signature in a portable package.

When to use it

Reach for ASiC-S when there is one document to protect and you want the signature kept alongside it rather than embedded. For datasets of several files, use ASiC-E instead.
